For the purpose of effective Sharia governance and supervision, two renowned and qualified Sharia scholars have been assigned. The Sharia Committee independently issues pronouncements, and these rulings are binding on us. The names of the Sharia Committee members are provided below:

Sheikh Dr. Salah Fahad Al Shalhoob

Chairman

A Sharia scholar who procured his PhD from Edinburgh University (UK) and Masters from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University (KSA). He has led a broad range of engagements in the US, Europe, and the GCC, focusing on banking and investment products, real-estate acquisitions, Islamic Insurance management, listed securities, and private equity fund. His product-based experience spans sukuks, home mortages, leasing, and SME Financing and asset management transactions.

He wrote many research and articles related to the Islamic banking sector that were published in many newspapers, most notably Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper.

Shaikh Dr. Sulaiman bin Muhammad Al-Juwaiser

A Sharia advisor. He has acquired his master’s and doctorate degree in Sharia from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In addition to this, he holds several professional certificates in Islamic Banking and Takaful insurance and has actively contributed by presenting innovative financial products.
